Research collaboration for unpublished ideas

Share the idea. Not with everyone.

Post what your project needs, choose exactly who can see it - your institution, signed-in researchers, or the open web - and meet the people who can help.

  • Choose the audience for every posting
  • End-to-end encryption for private work
  • Your work never trains AI

Why ScholarScope

Most collaborations still begin by accident.

  1. A conversation in a hallway.
  2. A name at the bottom of someone else's paper.
  3. A reply-all that happened to reach the right inbox.

ScholarScope makes it deliberate. Say what your work is missing, decide who may read it, and let the right person find you - before the idea is published, and without giving it away.

Postings Live

One posting. Three possible audiences. Your call.

Say what you need. Then decide who gets to read it, before anyone does.

Seeking a statistician for a three-site replication

We have preregistered a replication across three hospitals and need someone to own the mixed-effects analysis. Co-authorship, flexible hours.

Who can see this?

Anyone signed in to ScholarScope can read this. It stays off the open web and out of search engines.

Who can see a posting is fixed once it is published.

What it does

What the beta brings, and what comes after.

Live
in the beta from day one
In development
designed, arriving after launch

Security

Unpublished work should stay yours until you decide otherwise.

End-to-end encryption Live

Private ScholarScope content is encrypted on an authorized device and can be decrypted only on authorized devices. ScholarScope routes ciphertext and readable authorization metadata, but does not hold a content-decryption key.

What we can still see, even then

Being clear about this is part of the promise.

  • Who posted, to which audience, and when
  • Roughly how large what you share is
  • Your account email and institution, so you can sign in

Our logs never hold your content Live

They record opaque IDs and timestamps - never what you wrote, your email, or what you searched.

AI

You decide if AI touches your work.

We don't train AI on your work. Live

Not your drafts, not your postings, not your activity.

AI is off until you turn it on. In development

Each AI feature has its own switch in Settings. Turn it off again anytime.
